Backdash, down evade, backdash again? Is that right?

Or is it putting a guard in the middle..?

It seemed like backdash cancel wasn't possible, so is that method used to cancel it?

What is its purpose and what is the exact command?
When I tried it briefly, there seemed to be a delay between movements, so without delay
is it possible to move backward, sidestep backward, and forward as well..?
